Nicole is currently studying the LLM in Legal Practice at Northumbria University which she will have completed in August this year, having completed her LLB in 2018. Nicole is always looking to progress her skills and knowledge by adding to her experiences and expanding the foundations of her learning by taking advantage of as many opportunities as she can. Last year, continuing on to this year, Nicole began a mentorship with the Ministry of Justice, participated in several virtual events and placements and secured the position as a Content Writer for The Corporate Feed (Work and Careers column). These experiences have added to Nicole's desire to achieve her goal of becoming a qualified solicitor by increasing her commercial awareness, people skills and drafting. Nicole has particular interests in medical law, coroners law, family law and child law. She has a long-term goal to work both inside and outside the English and Welsh legal system, she has demonstrated this by her decision to focus her dissertation on a comparison between the English and Welsh divorce system with other systems, such as that in Scotland. Nicole's goal following her Masters this year is to secure a position as a paralegal before moving on to a training contract and qualifying by 2025.
